Streams
of white whispers
swirl about.
Listen.
Listen to the night
as waves of pure light
bathe the shadows of the day.
She calls my name,
tempts me
with lazy days
and eternal warmth.
Look.
Look at her grace
as she roams around
in glorious garb,
extending her hand,
reaching out,
reaching out,
to a world lost in its mire.

I’m not sure what this painting represents but this is what I saw.

well done.
Thanks so much Mish. It’s very appreciated π
I felt a quiet whisper, too, as I read it just like journey into poetry did. It is such a beautiful poem. I haven’t been here for awhile and I’m so glad I did visit. You always have a softness to your words. Just lovely ….!!!!

Thanks for stopping by and for your lovely comment π
This was beautiful, soft and yet in spite of the whispers, I could hear it all so clearly. Made me want to reach up and let myself be pulled up and away from the mire and muck that sometimes stains my days.
Thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful piece. Praying God’s blessings on you.

Beautifully expressed words in response to the painting. I love the theme of ‘reaching out.’ Reaching out is a good thing to think about as we begin a new year. Happy new Year to you.
Thanks very much Mary. Happy New Year to you too π
really a rather enchanting verse…i wonder whether to give in to her temtation and at what she has to offer….makes for a beautiful dance though…smiles…
Thanks Brian *smiles* π
Im sure im probably wrong…but this made me think about mother nature.. how she gets ignored these days (well, these modern times)….the world is indeed lost in its mire
You can take it any way you like Stu but that was my way of thinking. Thanks for your comment π
