Medicine – Five Sentence Fiction


What it’s all about: Five Sentence Fiction is about packing a powerful punch in a tiny fist. Each week I will post a one word inspiration, then anyone wishing to participate will write a five sentence story based on the prompt word. The word does not have to appear in your five sentences, just use it for direction.

This week: MEDICINE

He looked at her photo with loving eyes. Her quirky smile always got to him and brought back memories of when they first met. She was everything he ever wanted in a woman and although she didn’t think she was beautiful, she was beautiful to him and he never tired of it. Tonight’s dinner date was going to be special and planning it had been fun right down to arranging her favourite flowers. Being with her again was just what the doctor ordered – medicine for his soul.

  1. I enjoy a good romance now and then. I like the part about him thinking she is pretty despite her own opinion of herself. Every woman desires that constancy of opinion despite her own feelings about herself.
